revisionism- #r4 the Cat
The one question people always seem to have after I send them to my five by seven website is 'what ever happened to the cat?' (well, that, and have you ever thought about seeing a counselor). They're referring of course to my one altruistic endeavor, the adoption of the local stray number four.
The Neighbors call him Lucky, the other neighbors call him Fritz, I call him Quadruped, and he sleeps at all of our houses depending on his whim of the night.
On those nights that it's my turn, I genuinely enjoy that feeling of companionship that people get from pets, as well as a sort of compassion feeling knowing that he's safe and fed and warm for at least that night. Other times though, as he lies in my bed, I am very aware that he a) belongs to who knows how many others, and that b) he is essentially a feral cat and not that clean as (and I've seen him) he catches and eats rats.
Oh well, there's no need to dwell on that. I'm doing something good and compassionate (cat food isn't cheap). Besides, lets be honest, who hasn't bedded a neighborhood stray, nor caught a disease from letting something stay the night.

The revisionist installments are a series of re-reaction paintings to the events that occurred, or were occurring at, the time of their corresponding numerations. Painted for the five by seven show to fill in previously sold works, they are by not meant as repaintings of the original works, but rather, as expansions on the concepts of their pre-numbered associate.
