05/30/06 - #39 the Idea Fairy People often ask me 'Jeff, how do you come up with your ideas? you must have quite the imagination' or 'do you do drugs?'. The answer to both these is NO. I'm actually a very boring guy and pretty sober. I get my ideas the same way anyone else does -by staring blankly at an empty page drinking coffee while I wait for the idea fairy to come around and tell me what to do. Now, just like the tooth fairy, offerings must be made to reap the bounty. That's actually what I'm doing right now with this piece 'cause I have something far more important to be working on but the idea fairy won't come around.... Perhaps with more coffee...
