02/13/06 - #24 pennies from heaven I was really hard at work last week. I had to get this piece finished for a show at the Hummingbird Center. It's an inspired by #8 piece of the same title. One thing new I did for it was buy gold paint. All the trim, strings and garnish are done in gold. Anyway, I wanted to see how gold reproduces, and have found out it doesn't. there's all kinds of golden raindrops falling in this piece. The original is absolutely bejeweled with them but it seems the scanner doesn't pick it up. oh well...
